Good Morning JK Parents!

We began our study of insects this week, learning the parts of an insects and comparing them to spiders and other creatures.  Our ant farm should be here soon!

Fine Motor:

The children created lady bug art and designed their own insects/bugs of their own  interpretation.  They are displayed in the classroom for you to see!

Math & Science:

JK worked on flower subsidizing centers, as well as using language to compare numbers (math pizzas).  They grouped and counted and then completed story problems based on more and less than.

Literacy:

JK Bunnies wrote and illustrated journals to record the growth of their bean and grass plants, detailing their watering and using rulers to record growth.

Fine Motor/Social Studies:

The children celebrated Earth day by painting with water colors and brainstorming ways we can help our earth.  We watched videos and read stories about cleaning up and caring for our planet, from the depths of the ocean to outer space.

As the end of JK comes closer, we will begin celebrating each day with a countdown activity.  Please see below!  It starts tomorrow!

Have a lovely week!
