Hi JK Parents!
JK Bunnies are loving this weather and exploring outside, and LOVED watching the Lower School Musical of Frozen!
We are finishing the year by following up on any skills we haven't mastered and reviewing, so everything from word problems in math with equations to 3D shapes, isolating sounds in words and decoding, to remembering social and emotional skills when navigating the classroom and outside. We are encouraging lots of monkey bars and climbing for gross and fine motor development, and writing vertically on the white board for all of the amazing benefits. It's a beautiful thing to observe the children in the classroom, managing their activities independently and with incredible confidence. They have learned so much and are so much fun.
We loved seeing you for Palio, a long time tradition at Roycemore and one the children love. It was wonderful to watch them show their skills to you. Feel free to send any cute pictures as I was with my own group of kiddos so didn't make it around the room.
We played multiple literacy games this week. They loved making silly sentences, joining together words while completing a puzzle sentence.
Music Class and actively taking turns walking the notes!
Complex patterns of AABBCCA, etc. Hands on learning and lovely socialization as they compared their creations.
Log Cabin Architect! Shawqui loves creating and is an amazing artist in every way.
Have a lovely weekend!
